Caught in a Bleb of Time

Reminisces and Tall Tales

Denis Mayne

Denis Mayne was shuffling into his eighties when his wife died. He had been Anne’s carer for thirty years and was now in need of an alternative occupation. Submerged in his anecdotage his long-suffering family, having listened to his stories for the umpteenth time, finally persuaded him to write them down. He describes his book as a haphazard compilation of happenings, a farrago of memories. He also made up some stuff and wrote the odd poem. The reader is invited to treat Caught in a Bleb of Time as a dunking book; dip into any page and read from there. Denis lives in Bangor, County Down.
