About Colourpoint Books

Colourpoint Books was found in 1993 by husband-and-wife Norman and Sheila Johnston, is regarded as one of Ireland’s foremost publishers, especially in the genre of transport. Since retired, the company is now operated by their sons Malcolm and Wesley Johnston.

Our current publishing programme is focused on non-fiction and embraces both transport titles and general Irish interest titles.

Colourpoint Books is part of Colourpoint Creative Ltd, the largest publisher in Norther Ireland. Formed in 1993, Colourpoint Creative Ltd also publishes school resources for secondary level in the CCEA Specifications and distribution and self-publishing. Also in the group is Blackstaff Press, founded in 1971, and is an iconic brand with a long and rich heritage.
